Background

The landowners aim to re-establish native vegetation in a corner of the farm that is no longer grazed. They chose native plants over pine forests to enrich local biodiversity and contribute to the network of nearby forest remnants.
CPW contributed funding for the restoration plan and volunteer planting day, as well as $1,000 towards plants.

Monitoring

Monitored on December 11^th, no plant deaths, with growth being strong apart from a few olearia showing minimal frost damage.
